The Mercer Master Trust Retirement Section is designed to enable you to invest your retirement savings to provide a flexible income, (known as 'flexible income drawdown') or ad hoc lump sums.

INVESTING YOUR RETIREMENT SAVINGS TO PROVIDE A FLEXIBLE INCOME

INVESTING YOUR RETIREMENT SAVINGS TO PROVIDE A FLEXIBLE INCOME

The Mercer Master Trust Retirement Section is designed to enable you to invest your retirement savings to provide a flexible income, either through flexible income drawdown or as ad hoc lump sums.

If the pension plan you built your retirement savings in doesn’t allow you to draw on your retirement savings in this way, you may be able to do so by transferring them to the Mercer Master Trust Retirement Section. This lets you decide:

  • How much to draw down from of your retirement savings and how often;
  • Where to invest your retirement savings;
  • Whether to transfer in any other retirement savings to combine your pension pots; and
  • When to start taking your retirement savings.

The Mercer Master Trust Retirement Section is managed by professional, independent trustees.

Mercer is responsible for running it, ensuring it is financially sustainable, appointing and managing all of the key providers and acting as the investment manager.

Scottish Widows is the Mercer Master Trust Retirement Section administrator. It manages members’ retirement savings accounts from day-to-day, processing withdrawals from your retirement savings, arranging investment fund switches and communicating with you from time to time on behalf of Mercer.
