Keeping track of the nation’s attitudes towards saving for retirement
Since 2005 the Scottish Widows Retirement Report has kept track of the nation’s attitudes towards saving for a pension and their hopes and expectations for the future.
In this report we reflect on how people’s attitudes and circumstances have changed over the years and in particular what impact the Covid-19 crisis has had on their retirement plans. This year’s report sees another increase in the adequate savings index, which has been driven by auto enrolment.
In addition to this year's main Retirement Report we have published a focused study which looks at people's attitudes towards environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, including responsible investment in pension funds.
