Our Athletes
In the lead up to the Games, we’ll be working with athletes Roger Black MBE and Sarah Storey MBE in our role as the Official Pensions & Investment Provider of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Sarah Storey MBE
Sarah Storey is an inspiration. A champion swimmer, cyclist and Paralympic success, she claimed 35 major championship golds and has broken 60 world records along the way.
“For me, great preparation is about having ambition and seeing it through – whatever that takes. You have to put the work in to see the results. I’m committed to giving everything I can to ensure great results up to 2012 and beyond.”

Roger Black MBE
British Olympic hero Roger Black is a member of that select club of athletes who have triumphed at the highest level in both a team and individual capacity. This includes Olympic silver medal winning performances in the 400m and 4 x 400m relay.
“People ask me the secret of my success over the years. There’s only one answer: relentless preparation to be faster, stronger, better. The Olympic Games are the culmination of that dream. That’s why I’m proud to be working with Scottish Widows in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games.”
