Agency Setup and Process
Scottish Widows have been working with ORIGO to deliver an enhanced online Agency Application process.
The link below will take to you the ORIGO Service which will allow you to complete a generic Agency Application form and then select which Product Providers you wish to send this to. This process will save you time and effort.
Please note that not all Product Providers have signed up to this service at this time.
When applying for a New Business agency with Scottish Widows there are a number of things to consider:
- Are you directly regulated?
- Are you an Appointed Representative?
- Are you a new Regulated Individual joining an existing agency?

Directly Regulated
If your company is directly authorised with the FSA and you would like to open a New Business agency with Scottish Widows and you have 'full permissions':
- Go to agency.adviserwise.com
and complete the online application
New applications are normally processed within 5 working days. We will contact you with any additional requirements.
Appointed Representative
To allow us to open a new business agency for you we will require written
confirmation from your authorised company. The quickest way to achieve this
is for your authorised company to apply at agency.adviserwise.com.
On receipt of this application and confirmation we will set up an agency for you & confirm this to you in writing. New applications are normally processed within 5 working days. We will contact you with any additional requirements.
Regulated Individual joining an existing agency
We do not require an new agency application form to be completed. Please contact us at Commission.mailbox@scottishwidows.co.uk with all the relevant information including:
- Name of RI
- Name of authorised firm
- Existing SW agency number
- FSA number
- Registered Address
- Address for correspondence for the new agency
