Multi-Manager Funds

Multi-Manager Diversity Fund and Multi-Manager Select Boutiques Fund

In May, we added the Multi-Manager Diversity Fund and Multi-Manager Select Boutiques Fund to our range of pension funds managed by Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP). Both of these funds offer a cost-effective way to invest in a number of different funds, with the administrative requirements of just one.

Multi-Manager Diversity Fund

  • Diverse portfolio of funds

The fund offers access to a wide range of management styles and asset classes, with the aim of producing smoother returns than investing in equities alone.

  • Long-term performers

Mark Harries and Simon Wood are among the top-performing managers in the IMA Cautious Managed sector over five years to 31 October 2009, with a return of nearly 39% (source: Citywire).

Multi-Manager Select Boutiques Fund

  • Specialist investment

The fund offers access to funds from selected firms, where investment managers have specialist skills in their chosen markets.

  • Broadly diversified global portfolio of funds

Typically the fund invests in 12–15 funds to provide diversification across global equity markets and investment managers.

SWIP’s multi-manager expertise

SWIP’s multi-manager investment team has a total of over 80 years’ investment experience and has been working together for the last eight years on multi-manager portfolios.

Citywire is one of Europe’s biggest financial information groups and is known in particular for its fund manager analysis.

SWIP’s multi-manager investment process

The managers focus on identifying what they believe are the best funds available in each geographic area and asset class, with the aim of building well-diversified portfolios.

Fund availability

The Scottish Widows Multi-Manager Diversity and Select Boutiques Funds are available through all of our pension products (except stakeholder pensions).

The SWIP Multi-Manager Diversity and Select Boutiques Funds are also available alongside our other OEIC and ISA funds which are open to new investment.

Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
