Our Financial Planning team is dedicated to providing impartial views on legislative and Budget changes, and to analysing the opportunities they bring. They produce Techtalk magazine and masterclasses, along with additional financial planning articles, fact sheets and case studies.

Paul Rutlowski

  • Paul Rutkowski
  • Paul is a senior manager within Scottish Widows, having joined the group in 2007. He has over 20 years of experience across a broad spectrum of financial services roles including workplace pensions, individual pensions, proposition management and business development.
Bernadette Lewis
  • Bernadette Lewis
  • Bernadette joined the group in 2006. She has over 35 years experience in financial services with both providers and intermediaries. She has broad and deep technical experience across pensions, protection, tax and trusts.
Jeremy Branton
  • Jeremy Branton ACII, APFS, STEP Cert (T&E) 
  • Jeremy has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry covering a number of technical and marketing roles. He joined the group in 2006 as a tax and trusts specialist and also offers technical support on pension and protection planning.

Chris Jones
  • Chris Jones STEP Cert (T&E)
  • Chris joined the group in 1996. He’s worked in a number of roles in product development and technical support. After many years specialising in tax and trusts he now focuses on pensions and automatic enrolment.

Tom Coughlan
  • Tom Coughlan ATT
  • Tom has spent over 15 years in technical roles. He has wide experience including the provision of technical support to financial advisers covering life, pensions and investment compliance. He currently specialises in pension planning and automatic enrolment.
