About the job
To provide an efficient and high quality telephone account servicing facility to customers, meeting their needs and where appropriate taking advantage of cross selling opportunities.
What you will doing:
- Responding to incoming customer telephone calls, identifying and then meeting customer requirements, providing a polite, professional and accurate response in line with agreed service standards
- Promptly and accurately complete all related administration activities, in line with relevant service standards and to the customer’s satisfaction
- Recognise when customer requirements are more appropriately dealt with elsewhere and refer them as appropriate
- Keep up to date on new or enhances products/services in order to provide a high quality service to customers
- Ensure to compliance with Bank’s Books of Instructions, standards, values, internal policies and regulations
- Take part in, and identify self development opportunities and training needs
- Contributing to team and process improvements
- Involvement in project work/working parties as required
- Use diary and time effectively to minimise turnaround times
- Update the team leader regarding outstanding work volumes
- Candidates successful within Mortgage Officer roles are expected to attain the CeMap qualification
- Participate in Scottish Widows Bank's Training and Competence Scheme
- Help and encourage your colleagues to contribute to the success of the team

What experience you will need
- Excellent telephone manner – telephone banking experience desirable
- Financial Service experience desirable
- Customer Service experience essential
