Jennifer Allan, Mortgage Underwriter" joined Scottish Widows Bank in January 2005 after studying Economics at Aberdeen University. Now, I'm a Mortgage Underwriter and I deal with mortgage applications from the minute they arrive in the Bank through to a letter of offer being issued.
"The best thing about working here is the people. The support network is great, especially if things get a bit difficult. You're always kept busy and there's always something happening.
"I regularly socialise with members of my team and other teams and we usually go out for a few drinks every Friday after work.
"Outside of the office, I tend to spend my time travelling between here and Aberdeen - where my boyfriend lives. Foreign travel is something I really enjoy. I enjoy reading too."

Malcolm Milne, Mortgage Sales Officer

Malcolm Milne, Mortgage Sales Officer"I joined in 2004, prior to this my main background was in teaching printing at Napier University, where I had been for 10 years.
" My current role includes converting sales leads from existing and prospective customers. I like the challenge of growing my product knowledge, and I really enjoy talking to people which helps a lot in this type of role!
" The team is very busy at the moment, we all help each other out and share ideas. The Managers are very supportive and encourage a positive atmosphere which makes Sales a great place to work.
" In my spare time I enjoy football and follow one of Edinburgh's teams. I sometimes pen the odd short story and I'm currently penning a piece at the moment."

Diane Hall, Banking Officer

Diane Hall, Banking Officer"I worked with the Clydesdale Bank for 25 years before I joined as a Banking Officer in September 2000.
" I deal with a range of tasks from telephone enquiries to carrying out financial transactions. Although it is not face to face contact I am able to build a really good relationship with customers over the telephone.
" We all work hard to maintain high standards of customer service, but the team spirit is great, we share knowledge, support and encourage each other.
" Outside of work I am busy with my first granddaughter. I also enjoy walking and listening to a wide variety of music."

Shilpa Mishra, Mortgage Underwriter"I joined Scottish Widows Bank in October 2005 and work within mortgage new business processing. Prior to this I had been working in sales after graduating from Sophia Girls College, India.
" I really enjoy working here, it has been a great experience - the people, the culture and the work, I am glad I made this choice. Everyone I have met has come across as being professional yet friendly and very supportive.
" In my spare time I like to listen to music and enjoy a game of Tennis."
