SCOTTISH WIDOWS 2023 RETIREMENT REPORT

In our 19th annual study of the nation's preparedness for retirement we have redefined what it means to save for a comfortable retirement, and what steps need to be taken so that people can thrive and not merely survive in their latter years. We also take an in depth look at the specific challenges some groups face in saving for retirement - including people living with disabilities, ethnic minorities, the LGBTQ+ community and self-employed workers.

2023 women & Retirement Report

In our 2023 report, we see that single mothers are less likely to be on track for the most basic lifestyle in retirement. Divorced women are also less likely to be on track in their retirement preparations because, all too often, divorce settlements do not take account of pension assets.
